Broward County criminal defense attorney Evan Hoffman is representing a 33-year-old man who was charged with leaving the scene of a crash involving death after surrendering to the Opa-Locka Police Department on March 25. According to WFOR-TV, the 33-year-old man was the owner of the car police said was involved in a hit-and-run accident at the 2700 block of NW 135th Street.
An 84-year-old man was struck and killed while crossing the street on March 23. WFOR reported that surveillance cameras captured the driver getting out of an SUV, walking toward the man’s body, then turning around and running back to the vehicle before jumping inside and taking off.
Detectives told WFOR that there was also a female passenger in the vehicle. According to the Miami Herald, police found a gold Infiniti SUV with front-end damage in the 300 block of Sabur Lane.
